Who Am I?

Hello everyone! My name is Stefanie Schauer, I am 21 years old and a person with way too many different hobbies and interests. A day must have at least 48 hours in order for me to be able to embrace all of my favourite activities.

My affection for my two biggest passions already began to show when I was very young. At that time, my family and I lived in a very small house only surrounded by forests and endless maize fields. It was beautiful to look at but sometimes really boring – until we got our first personal computer. Ever since then I spend way too many hours of my weekends either playing games or browsing the Internet. It was around the same time, when I started binge-reading any comic books and novels that I was able to get my hands on.

Here you can see my first attempts at knitting and crocheting,
some cupcakes I made for my niece's birthday party
and my homemade Onigiri.
Nowadays, my hobbies are more varied than that. Besides reading, I also enjoy writing, drawing, painting and doing crafts. Some of the hobbies I recently started are knitting and crocheting easy applications. It may sound like something only your grandma would enjoy, but I found out that it is the perfect activity for me to do while watching my favourite series.

On the weekends, I also love to cook or bake all kinds of confectionery for my family and friends. Lately, I have been trying to extend my cooking abilities by experimenting with different Asian recipes, especially Japanese and Korean ones. Most of the easy ones actually turn out pretty good, like these Japanese Onigiri.

I think that should be enough information about me for now. If you are interested in getting to know more about me, feel free to talk to me any time.

Who am I?

Actually, that’s a good question. The last few days I was intensely thinking about how to describe myself because it is really hard to squeeze your whole life and you as person into a blog post. My name is Monika, I’m 23 years old and I’m born in Carinthia where I grew up bilingually like the most of my study mates whose surnames end with an “-ić“. As my parents come from Croatia we spent every summer holidays there until I became 16 and got my first holiday job in Austria. I miss those good old days from my childhood. Still, I didn't manage to find out where I really belong. To requote a sentence from the book “Balkanizer” from Danko Rabrenović
„I’m the happiest while sitting in the plane travelling between Germany and Serbia - doesn’t matter in what direction.”
I’d recommend this book to everyone who is in a similar situation as me – having the feeling to belong everywhere and nowhere at the same time and I know there are a lot of people out there.

Apart from that I love baking (as you’re going to find out soon), travelling - who doesn’t if there is enough time /money - and good music. There isn’t any specific music I listen to but I don’t much like jazz. When I’m in a bad mood I mostly listen to Croatian music because there is something special about this music I can’t really explain that cheers me up.
Here’s one example =)
Recently I started organizing my cousins wedding and it’s quite an honour that people trust you so much and ask you to organize one of their most important days in their lives. I’m going to tell you in a following post what I’ve reached so far, as I have to create the corsages, the invitation cards and the whole decoration of the restaurant.
In addition to studying, baking, travelling and organizing someone’s wedding, I have a part-time job as a telephonist. I like the job because it is often really amusing. I like my colleagues, my boss and I it takes me only about 15 minutes by bus to get there. Working with people is something I really enjoy but of course there are sometimes those people who are mess with my head more than they should.
Another thing I feel passionate about is drawing and painting. A lot of my family members are creative in some way but my cousin and I like the drawing and painting part. I feel that her pictures are much better than mine but here are two pictures – so feel free to make your own opinion and maybe let me know what you think about it. The picture with the elephants is one of mine and the one with the deer is one of my cousins paintings.

At this point I want to finish my post. If you liked it let me know, if you didn’t like the post let me also know or if you just want to know something more in detail, feel free to leave me a comment. I’m looking forward to hear from you and getting to know all of you guys better.

I wish you a nice evening...

Who am I?

Hello there!

Since we need to write something about ourselves, I'd like to tell you some (interesting) facts about me, rather the usual stuff. I have 3 objects from my room to present to you. My computer, my drawing book and my glasses/contact lenses.

My name is Jessica, I'm 20 years old and I come from Steyr, which is in Upper Austria.

I might not look like it but I am actually a gamer girl. I play games frenquently and I prefer fantasy, adventure and roleplay games to shooter games. I used to play shooters like Far Cry 3 or Rage, which I found interesting at first because of their story but then they turned out to be continuously repetitive so I stopped playing them.

I used to draw and paint a lot when I was "younger". Now i feel old. However, I used to draw all kinds of genres and painted abstract pictures because I had so much free time and school was easy for me back then. As the years passed by I lost interest in it. I have no idea why and I also find it sad, but I think I just don't have that childlike inspiration anymore, when you could picture everything so well. I also was NEVER EVER satisfied with anything I created.

My eyes are really bad. I have 11,75 and 12,75 dipoters on my eyes, thus I have some real thick glasses and contact lenses. I prefer wearing contact lenses as the heavy glasses hurt the back of my ears and my nose all the time when I wear them, even though glasses suit me very well. They also get dirty fast and I actually see worse than with contacts in.

I hope you enjoyed reading my facts about me and I wish you fun with further reading of other articles! :)

Who am I?

Drink with milk! ;)
I think it is easiest to describe myself with these photos. My mother is from England and the whole family speaks English at home. Some habits are very British, others very Austrian.

I live with my parents, 2 younger sisters and my younger brother in a small house in the countryside in Upper Austria.

In 2013 I travelled around South and Northamerica, mostly on my own. That trip taught me a lot about people, including myself.

I play the guitar, piano and drums, but most of all I enjoy singing. I also like drawing and painting, a talent I inherited from my mother.

When I was nearly five years old we moved to Austria to live at my grandparent's house. Before that, we lived in Luxembourg. I have travelled a lot with my family. I enjoy sleeping outside, working in the garden and I love animals. I also love travelling and have a lot of stories to tell. :)
