Quick-and-Easy Daily Diet Menu

Hi everyone!

Viktoria, Jelena and I decided to give you a little insight into a delicious menu from a special diet. We wanted to focus on both easy and affordable meals which are made in less than 10 minutes. We all know what it 's like to be a student nowadays. All of us are under a lot of stress, strangled between numerous lectures and sleeping less than we would normally do. The worst part of being a student is that we are eating on-the-go most of the time. Why? Because we pretty much don't have a lot of free time, especially for cooking and preparing healthy meals. Most of us just decide to eat whatever we first grab. Well, too bad, because we are hurting only ourselves and no one else. Every meal is important in its own way and we should, if possible, never skip any of them.

Yet, the meal that often gets skipped is the most important one - breakfast. During a busy morning, the last thing we think about is breakfast. Suddenly everything becomes more important than nourishing ourselves properly. In fact, taking just a few minutes to eat can really make a difference to our day. Without breakfast we are literally running empty, like trying to start a car without petrol. If you are one of those people who just cannot eat anything in the morning because they feel sick to their stomach, we have a solution for you and it's called SMOOTHIE.

Let's just say that the three of us are completely addicted to smoothies. We can drink them at all times and just can't get enough of them. They offer us unique health benefits, are easy and fun to make and a joy to drink. They are an excellent way to enjoy delicious drinks which satisfy hunger and offer maximum nutrition. The great thing about smoothies is that anyone can afford them and can create their own ones as they wish. You just need to decide which fruits or vegetables you like the most and mix them all together. If you haven't yet, you should definitely give it a try.

We decided to make one of our favourite fruit smoothies, which requires :

  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup oranges
  • ¾ cups strawberries
  • ½ cups blueberries
  • ½ wild berries

This screams vitamin bomb, right?!

Time for lunch!

Everyone loves sandwiches, and most of us eat them daily, mainly for lunch. In fact, sandwiches are the most popular lunch choice by busy students. We thought we would make a sandwich which I believe many of us have heard of, but not so many have tried out. The famous HAWAII-TOAST requires :

·         1 slice whole-grain toast
·         butter
·         1-2 slices turkey ham
·         1-2 slices of Emmentaler cheese
·         1 slice canned or fresh pineapple
·         cherry tomatoes for garnishing

For a better taste you have to put it in the oven for about 10 minutes.
The HAWAII-TOAST is proof that healthy sandwiches can be tasty too!

And last but not least, dinner. This meal is a tricky one because most people eat the utmost in the evening, which is very bad. But if you really can't resist eating a lot before going to sleep, why not prepare something that contains meat, but is not too heavy for the stomach. SKEWERS, for example. The ones we usually prepare require :

·         250 g chicken breast
·         Salt
·         Pepper
·         ½ red, green or yellow pepper
·         cherry tomatoes
·         Balsamico
·         Olive oil

How you want to prepare this meal, is completely up to you. We like to prepare and fry the ingredients first, and then spear them onto the wooden sticks, while some people do it reversely.

So, we came to an end. We hope that at least one of these creative meals will become one of your favourite meals too and also save you a lot of time in your busy schedule.

Bon appetit and enjoy them!

Who am I?

Hi y’all!

Sarcasm Is An Art. If It Was A Science, I'd Have My P.H.D.„So, tell me a little about yourself! “ How many times have you heard that one before? Do you like that question? I don’t even know where to start when someone asks me, so I don’t like that one in particular. It is always like „Do you want me to start at the beginning or do you want to hear the polished version? “ There are really a lot of things I am interested in. These are just a couple of important ones to be able to get a picture of who I am.

I could write about all the great places that I visited and about this and that course I participated in. You see, the reality is I haven’t visited any exciting places nor have I ever had the chance to take part in a course or, say, a play. Not that I wasn’t interested in it, on the contrary I would have loved to take piano lessons or visit Disneyworld. So ever since I was a kid I had to spice up my life my own way. Due to having a lot of siblings it was never boring at home. My big brothers and I have always been the comedians in our family – everything was and is inspiration to make a joke out of. This was when I developed my interests in mimicking accents and voices as well as imitating people and re-enacting scenes. My main goal was to make people laugh. Coming from a tough environment this was the only way to bring joy into the lives of my siblings and me. Sometimes it was more on the sarcastic side - but hey - a little bit of everything makes the dish better, doesn’t it?

However, making jokes and people laugh was not what I was doing for the past two decades. I have always been the happiest when I could borrow a new book from the library, because that was when I really parted with the reality and it relaxed me. Not only am I a bookworm, but also I like to write stories and years ago I had started to write a book which I will hopefully finish one day. The thing with me is I am constantly on the edge and like to get something done immediately otherwise I feel anxious.

I guess until now you may have noticed that I like to express myself creatively and through various forms of arts. While I lived in Zagreb, Croatia, I attended the School of Applied Arts and Design to become a textile designer. Through this school I learned a lot about art itself as well as what results from a brush, some tempera and the right applied techniques. Now this is where makeup joins the party. During my schooling I fell in love with the art of makeup – the art of simply prettifying someone’s face in order to make their natural assets more noticeable. Makeup is one of my biggest passions. Except that, pretty much everything from the artistic circles draws my interest. There’s painting, singing, music itself, decorating or refurbishing old pieces of furniture etc.

You know, there is a lot more than I could possibly squeeze into this blog post but it would be really too long. I am going to stop at this point and encourage you to walk up to me and get to know me better. Maybe a lot of us actually share some interests and if so I would at least like to know who you are.
I’ll see you around, Bye! :)
