Who am I?

Hi everybody,
I am always a bit helpless when it comes to describing myself, because firstly I tend to understate or exaggerate my skills and my characteristics and secondly, I don’t want to bother you with uninteresting facts about my hometown, my favourite meal an so own. So I got the idea of interviewing my sister about me. Go on reading if you want to find out more.

Which three adjectives would you use to describe myself?
Adventurous, easy-going and helpful.

Why would you choose the three of them?
I would say adventurous, because you like to explore unknown territory and to try out knew things that you aren’t used to. In addition being around with you isn’t linked to a lot of stress, on the contrary it is relaxing, that’s why I decided to choose easy-going. And last but not least helpful, because if someone asks you for a favour you don’t hesitate to cooperate.

What would you say am I proudest of in my life?
I think that you are very proud about the 3 months in Sri Lanka, where you were working in a children’s home and of course you are proud to have an awesome little sister like me :P

What are my hobbies?
You are a really active person. In your free time you like to play tennis or to go jogging and you are really passionate about ski touring and hiking, that’s why you love your hometown, which lies on the food of a mountain. You appreciate spending time with your beloved and not to forget you are apassionate traveller.

What’s my favourite place on earth?
Well, that’s a tricky question; I have in mind that you once told me that every place can be wonderful when you share it with the right people, so the implication is that you don’t have a specific favourite place.

What are my weaknesses?
That’s easy! Your cooking skills need a lot to be desired; especially when you are trying out knew things or improvise with various herbs and spices. Secondly, you are a bit impatient.

Who am I?

It’s challenging to describe oneself in public like this, isn’t it? But here I am, trying to lead you through my wannabe-interesting life with the following posts. I’m going to start with introducing myself briefly:

My name is Hannah, a quite common name, as you can see on the Austrian ranking of the most popular names. Second place. So this seems to be very special about me. J

I have grown up in Leogang, a relatively small village in the middle of the mountains, about 20 minutes from Zell am See. People here mostly work in tourism, as we have got quite a popular skiing resort around here, which I’m really proud of. 

I'm a sporty person, who loves to go for a run. While jogging, I'm able to rearrange my endless thoughts about.......hmm, I guess I think about EVERYTHING, so I'm a perfect demonstrator of "overthinking" :) Except from running I also enjoy many other types of sports to get my head tidied up or to meet up with my friends. I have tried out many different kinds of sports, as I attended a sports-school when I was younger. I like playing tennis and squash, swimming, rock-climbing, all kinds of team-sports or just going for a walk with my mother.

Most people I know are into skiing and so am I. When I’m not studying or travelling I usually work as a skiing instructor.

Amazing Madrid

Obviously I mostly instruct children. As I also enjoy improving my language skills and travelling, I united these interests of mine in the last six months. I went to Madrid, Spain to look after kids. I had a rather amazing time working as an Au-Pair in a great metropolis as Madrid, but I openly admit that I also missed my beloved-ones and my sports-team quite much!

Hard to guess which sport I'm into :) I always enjoy the time with my volleyball-team!

I returned from Spain, maybe a little wiser and more mature, but still hungry for new experiences. So now I am in Graz, another animate and interesting place, to study foreign cultures and languages.

Written art is what inspires me a lot these days, so I want to find a conclusion with the following quote:

Art brings you closer to whatever your present is, your own breathing being.
